Now, for a little "Credit History!"

Hi, this is Anna! Let's talk about Brakenridge Furniture's in-house financing. Very few retailer's carry their own accounts any more and I know why...it's hard to collect! Very few people realize that not paying an account at a small business really hurts that business, and small businesses have been on quite a rollercoaster ride these past five or so years.

Many years ago, businesses in the Miss-Lou had open accounts or store accounts. Remember getting big dress boxes full of clothes to take home to try on? Remember grocery store accounts?

We still carry our own accounts, but are going to add some more options for our customers. We are hoping to offer Synchrony Financing soon in addition to a second look financing rent-to-own service called SNAP that we already have. In addition, Equifax is going to be able to receive all of our account information each month. When we report to Equifax, our good customers will be rewarded with a boost in their credit score. All of these changes are in process.
